Exchange & API
Connect Bitfinex using API keys (no withdrawals).
What you’ll need
- A Bitfinex account (secured with 2FA if possible).
- Any exchange verification steps required by Bitfinex.

Once your exchange account is ready, generate API keys for automation.
Best practice: protect your exchange account with 2FA before creating API keys.
Minimum permissions
- Read + Trade (minimum needed for bots).
- Do not enable withdrawals on API keys used for bots.
- If available: restrict by IP and only enable needed endpoints.
Store safely
- Copy the API secret once and store it securely.
- Rotate keys periodically (and revoke unused keys).
Security rule: bots should use API keys with no withdrawals. Least privilege always.

- Correct permissions: trade enabled, withdrawals disabled.
